The Woodyard at the museum is a typical 1950s style working sawmill with various items of equipment powered by belt using petrol or steam engines. When trees in the museum grounds need to be felled they are often moved subsequently to the yard using our mobile crane and  milled in the Woodyard to be used in various buildings, fences and other projects around the site. Highlights in the Woodyard include Henry Jackson’s old rack bench saw and several vintage tractors.
