We will be running another Light-pad Photography Workshop for club members in the Hale Hall on Wednesday 16 September.
In this creative, hands-on session, we will experiment with lighting objects from below and photographing them from above to explore their shapes, silhouettes, textures, and transparency. We will also investigate the creative effects that can be achieved through over- and under-exposure, as well as by reflecting and bouncing light around the objects.
Please bring your camera. A tripod will not normally be required, as most of the photography will be shot directly downwards. Unless you have a tripod with a horizontal centre column (boom arm), it is unlikely to be suitable for this type of work.
Lightboxes, lightpads, and a selection of props will be provided. However, if you have an interesting object that you would like to photograph on a lightbox (up to A3 size), please feel free to bring it along.
We look forward to seeing you there and exploring some creative new perspectives together.
